## Build your own

Start from a package built for your team, then change any form, status or workflow in it. No developers, no change request to a vendor.

- [Vet](https://streamcell.com/library/vet): Sick animal reports, health cases, post-op monitoring, humane endpoint scoring and found-dead animals.
- [Vivarium Operations](https://streamcell.com/library/operations): Daily room logs, environment deviations, cage wash, sentinel monitoring, water quality, enrichment, service requests, transfers and quarantine.
- [Compliance](https://streamcell.com/library/compliance): Post-approval monitoring, semiannual inspections, noncompliance reports, welfare concerns, training records and hands-on competency.

Or start from a PDF of a form you use today, or a photo of a cage card, and Streamcell drafts it for your team to finish.

## A health case, from the cage to the vet

A technician spots a health issue. The report, assessment and recommendation stay together as the case moves through the team.

1. **The husbandry technician opens a case**: Every animal gets eyes and hands on it every day. When something is wrong, the technician opens a health case and the right people are told.
2. **The vet tech assesses**: They examine the animal and log what they found and the treatment they gave, on the same case.
3. **The veterinarian recommends**: Cases reach the vet by priority and urgency, and the vet recommends a treatment or a humane endpoint.
4. **The lab is told**: If the animal is on a study, Streamcell tells its lab.

The whole case sits under the animal use protocol the animal is on, the compliance umbrella over everything that happens to it. Every change stays on the record for whoever asks later.

## A protocol, from draft to approval

The lab drafts it, the committee reviews it, and the lab revises until it is approved. Every version stays on the record.

1. **The lab drafts the protocol**: The principal investigator fills in the species, strains, procedures and humane endpoints on the protocol form.
2. **The committee reviews it**: Reviewers are assigned, and their comments and recommendations are kept on the protocol.
3. **The lab revises**: The lab answers each recommendation and resubmits. Each version stays on the record.
4. **The protocol is approved**: Approval is signed on the protocol, and every health case filed under it links back to it.

## A service request, from the lab to done

The lab asks, the facility answers, and both sides are told at each step until the request is closed.

1. **The lab requests a service**: The request names the room, rack and priority, and the facility is emailed.
2. **The facility asks a question**: Facility staff add a note for the lab, and the lab is emailed.
3. **The lab replies**: The lab adds the details, on the same request.
4. **The facility closes it**: Staff log the work and the hours, the lab accepts, and the request is closed.

## Show me

Ask for the view you need in your own words: a chart, a board, a cage map. Save it, and it's there whenever you come back. No reports to order, no development skills.

Show me runs on your own records, with your permissions. Every view it builds can be changed, saved and shared with your team.

## Who makes Streamcell?

Iseehear, the Toronto team behind SoftMouse.NET, the colony management software, since 2008.

A health case in Streamcell links to the animal's SoftMouse record, with its history, genealogy and genotype. Streamcell also goes past mice: it supports many species, large animals included.

Its first customers were a pharmaceutical company, a biotech, a research institution and several labs. They helped shape it and use it today. [For SoftMouse customers](https://streamcell.com/softmouse)

## How do I show this to my team?

Send the person who decides the email we wrote. You add their address and press send.

**Pass Streamcell to the person who decides** We wrote a short email for you. It opens in your own email, ready for your vet's, facility manager's or compliance lead's address. Nothing reaches us, and nothing is stored.

## Where can I see it at AALAS?

**AALAS National Meeting, Houston.** 25 to 29 October 2026, booth #2048, listed under SoftMouse.NET. Bring a form you use today and watch it become a working workflow.
